National League

As Renaud Lavoie writes in the Journal de Montréal, Mark Streit will give himself some more time before he will make a final decision on his future.

According to the journalist, the 39-year-old defenseman hopes to get signed by an NHL team who might be in need for an injury replacement. However, thus far, no team has contacted him.

While Lavoie states that SC Bern might become an option for Streit if he decides to continue his career, the team managers of several National League clubs (ZSC Lions, SC Bern, EHC Biel) have denied their interest in Streit. Jörg Reber, on the other hand, told the Berner Zeitung that he would definitely call him up but that he knows that Streit would probably not play in Langnau.
