The rumors about Ronalds Kenins leaving and Simon Bodenmann joining the ZSC Lions have dominated the news cycle in the last couple of days. While Sven Leuenberger is not willing to say much, he is busy working on the roster for the 2018-19 season.

Leuenberger hopes to have a clearer view on who they will keep by the end of November since there are still a lot of moving parts at the moment. As he tells the Neue Zürcher Zeitung, they have set a date for a meeting with Roman Wick, who is one of eleven players (and two coaches) whose contracts are expiring.

There are rumors surrounding a potential move of Denis Hollenstein to the Lions. Apparently, he might be willing to leave Kloten. However, he has a valid contract with Kloten until 2020 and for now, this speculation seems more like an intellectual pastime than something with actual substance. Especially given the fact that the Lions, according to the same source, would have to pay CHF 1.5 million in damages to Kloten.

Leuenberger would like to keep Roger Karrer and Phil Baltisberger. Whether Niklas Schlegel will stay with the Lions is not yet clear. Definitely not on the Lions' roster will be Mathias Seger. The Lions already made this clear, when they revealed Seger's contract extension earlier this year.
