The ZSC Lions and their homegrown defender Phil Baltisberger have agreed on a two-year contract extension through to the 2019-20 season.

"Phil has played himself into the core team in the on-going season and has also received some ice time on the penalty kill," ZSC's team manager explains. "With his contract renewal we rely on continuity in the defence."

After two season with OHL's Guelph Storm in North America, the 21-year-old returned to the ZSC Lions in 2016. Since then, Baltisberger has played in 112 games with the Lions, recording four goals and 15 assists.
