The 28-year-old Finnish forward was initially signed as an injury replacement for Tommi Santala in mid-September for the duration of one month. In mid-October, EHC Kloten then extended Sallinen's contract for another three weeks.
In 18 games for Kloten this term so far, Sallinen has managed to put up two goals and six assists, while posting a minus-11 rating.
