Moreover, still according to the same source, several employees of the club have supposedly submitted their resignation. EHC Kloten's president Hans-Ulrich Lehmann, who rigorously tries to cut the club's expenses, could not be reached for a statement in the past few days, the Schweizerische Depeschenagentur (SDA) reports.

Approached by the SDA later the day, EHC Kloten's CEO Matthias Berner confirmed Equilino's indefinite absence but denied that several employees have submitted their resignations: "I don't know anything about that. I'm not aware of an employee's resignation."

On another note, EHCK's vice president Peter Lüthi told the same source that forward Denis Hollenstein, who is beingt courted by the ZSC Lions and rumored to join them as of next season, would be free to decide whether he wants to leave EHC Kloten despite a still valid contract through to the 2019-2020 season. He would not be prevented from doing so, Lüthi made clear.
