As anticipated by the Luzerner Zeitung, EV Zug has signed Thomas Thiry to a two-year contract extension, valid until the end of the 2019-20 season. His contract is also valid for the Swiss League team.

The 20-year-old defenseman joined EV Zug from Genève-Servette HC's U20 and was expected to play for the EVZ Academy this season. Due to a long list of injured players, he was then called up and was able to showcase his skills in eleven games for the Bulls.

On another note, it is not yet clear whether Livio Stadler's contract will be extended or not. The 19-year-old defenseman has played 17 games for EVZ and nine games for the Academy this season (one goal, seven assists).
