EV Zug has extended the contracts of forwards Yannik Zehnder (photo) and Fabian Haberstich, both until the end of the 2018-2019 season.

Zehnder, 19, is a product of the EVZ organization. After one season in North America, where he mostly played for Twin City Steel in the NA3HL, he returned to Zug for the 2016-2017 season and played 32 games for EVZ Academy, scoring 14 goals and twelve assists. This season so far, he has played nine games for the Academy with five goals and three assists, and 15 games for EVZ, lighting the lamp twice.

Haberstich, 20, spent his junior years in Langnau. In the 2014-2015 season he played his first games for the SCL Tigers in the NLB. Since then, he has suited up for the SCL Tigers, EHC Visp, EVZ Academy and EVZ. In 116 championship and cup games for these teams, he has scored 15 goals and recorded 15 assists.
