"He is an intelligent, physically strong forward with a strong gameplay and a lot of potential, who can also be used in the special teams," EVZ's team manager Reto Kläy notes.

The 23-year-old has been courted by several teams, including SC Bern, HC Fribourg-Gottéron and EHC Kloten, whereas the SCL Tigers "would have loved to keep him", as their team manager Jörg Reber told the Berner Zeitung in mid-November.

Albrecht, who is a product of EHC Visp, has been with the SCL Tigers since 2009. This season so far, the team's alternate captain has appeared in 28 games in which he managed to put up six goals and eight assists.
