The SCL Tigers have signed Canadian defenseman Cam Barker with immediate effect. They have also signed current EV Zug-forward Nolan Diem (photo) for the next two seasons.

Barker, 31, started the season with HC Slovan Bratislava in the KHL. He now joins the Tigers until the end of this season. The third overall pick in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft played 310 games in the NHL for Chicago, Minnesota, Edmonton and Vancouver before leaving for the KHL in 2013, where he suited up for 191 games.

Diem, 24, signed a two-year contract with Langnau. After spending his junior years in Lausanne and playing two NLB games for the Lions in the 2010-2011 season, he went on to join EV Zug in 2011. In 210 National League games with Zug so far, he recorded ten goals and 25 assists.
