"We are already on the third late notice to pay the first instalment, the one in August. So far, we have not received a response - in fact, we have not received feedback from the club on its current financial situation at all, " administrative councillor Sami Kanaan tells the newspaper. "We are partners, but we have not been informed at all. Given these circumstances, with this money due, we will send a formal notice to the club in the next few days.

Technically, Geneva would have to pay a bill of CHF 300,000, but the city decided to decrease the sum to CHF 240,000. The club, who has reportedly already accumulated CHF eight million in debt by now, will thus have to deal with another problem in their immediate future.
