HC Ambrì-Piotta has signed goaltender Tomi Karhunen until the end of the 2017-18 season. Furthermore, they confirm the signing of Lausanne HC's Johnny Kneubuehler. They have also extended the contract of Nick Plastino (photo).

Karhunen started his season with the Kunlun Red Stars of the KHL and then played for Vityaz Podolsk. He has been without a contract since mid-December. The 28-year-old Finn posted a .904 save percentage in three games for Vityaz Podolsk. He will be available to the Biancoblù as of tomorrow.

As anticipated by 24 heures, Kneubuehler has decided to leave Lausanne HC and sign with HC Ambrì-Piotta. He has agreed to a two-year contract, valid until the end of the 2019-20 season. As for Plastino, he will stay with the Biancoblù for another two years. In 37 games for HCAP this season, he recorded six goals and 15 assists.
