Heinz Ehlers' contract will expire at the end of this season. According to the Berner Zeitung, the SCL Tigers are still in negotiations with him about a potential contract extension.

Ehlers' contract will only be automatically extended if the Tigers make the playoffs. The negotiations have been going on for quite some time. It is still not clear if the Dane will stay, but it is looking a bit more promising than last year.

Ehlers states that there are still a couple of points that need to be addressed in order for him to sign. If the Tigers manage to solve those problems, a two-year extension is a possibility, the newspaper writes.

Furthermore, there are rumors that Anton Gustafsson, whose deal is valid until the end of the 2018-19 season, has apparently already extended his contract with the Tigers for another year. He would thus say with them until the end of the 2019-20 season.
