The Dragons' team manager Christian Dubé recently revealed to La Liberté that they have upgraded their contract offer to Mottet from, at first, a one-year deal (same conditions as his current agreement) to a two-year deal.

Besides the contract extension from his youth team, the 27-year-old left winger reportedly also had offers from SC Bern and EHC Biel on the table.

Mottet made his National League debut during the 2009-10 season and has appeared in a total of 290 games for the Dragons (129 points). This term thus far, he has managed to put up nine goals and 15 assists in 41 games.
