As anticipated by Marc-André Berset (RTS), Killian Mottet has signed a two-year contract extension with HC Fribourg-Gottéron, valid until the end of the 2019-20 season.

After a bad start to the season, the 27-year-old found his scoring touch again and has recorded twelve goals and twelve assists in 42 games.

His increased production also led to the attention of other National League teams, who subsequently issued an offer to the forward. In the end, Mottet decided to stay with the team he's a product of.
