Nicholas Steiner will leave EHC Biel at the end of this season and return to EHC Kloten. The 26-year-old defender has signed a two-year contract through to the 2019-20 season.

Steiner, who is a product of EHC Kloten, left his youth team in 2013 to join the SCL Tigers. Just one year later, he moved on to EHC Biel for which he has suited up in 176 games ever since, recording five goals and 13 assists.

"Nicholas is a tough defender with a lot of energy every coach likes to have on his team. He will contribute a lot to defensive stability with his playing style. I'm looking forward to him," EHCK's head coach Kevin Schläpfer comments the signing.
