The Dane's contract would have been automatically extended once the Tigers clinched a playoff spot. Ehlers will thus stay with the Tigers until the 2019-20 season.
It had not been clear whether Ehlers would stay or leave after this season. In the last couple of weeks, however, they made progress in their negotiations and it certainly looked more and more like the Dane would extend his contract. Ehlers is currently in his second season as head coach of the SCL Tigers.
