Fritsche joined Fribourg-Gottéron in a widely discussed players exchange between Gottéron and Genève-Servette HC, when the now 26-year-old and Jérémie Kamerzin were traded for defenseman Romain Loeffel. A bit more than four years later, his time with the Dragons is coming to an end.

Over the course of his four seasons with Gottéron, the Swiss-American has suited up in 217 games, in which he put up 39 points (16 goals, 23 assists).
