National League

As anticipated by Watson, HC Ambrì-Piotta has signed forward Fabio Hofer. The Austrian in possession of a Swiss license has agreed to a one-year deal with the option for a second year.

Hofer's team, the EHC Liwest Black Wings Linz, has recently been knocked out of the EBEL-playoffs. The 27-year-old found the back of the net six times and assisted in seven more goals in twelve playoff games. During the regular season, he suited up 54 times for Linz and put up 55 points. It was his fourth year with them. He was with Red Bull Salzburg for the same amount of time before that.

Prior to joining Salzburg and the EBEL, Hofer played for EC Dornbirn in Austria's second tier league. He also was part of their youth organization. In Ambrì, he will be able to play alongside fellow Austrian Dominic Zwerger. The two of them are also part of the Austrian National team.
