SC Bern confirms that they have inked Swedish defenseman Adam Almquist to a one-year contract and Slovenian forward Jan Muršak to a two-year contract.

What has already been reported in the past weeks, is now confirmed: Adam Almquist, 27, and Jan Muršak, 30, will definitely suit up for SC Bern as of next season. Both will join the Bears from the SHL's Frölunda Gothenburg.

Adam Almquist joined Frölunda last summer and appeared in 56 games for them over the course of the season. As a defenseman, the 27-year-old was nevertheless able to put up 30 points (7 goals, 23 assists).

Jan Muršak, on the other hand, joined Frölunda during this past season from the KHL's Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod. In 21 games for Frölunda, he scored ten goals and added 13 assists for a total of 23 points. At this year's Olympic Games, the 30-year-old was the captain of the Slovenian national team.
