According to the Tribune de Genève, this time the 27-year-old Canadian forward might actually join Genève-Servette HC. Already last year, there had been rumors that Jooris, who is in possession of a Swiss player's license, might sign in Switzerland. However, he went on to sign a contract with the NHL's Carolina Hurricanes.

Currently, Jooris is a member of the Pittsburgh Penguins, having been traded to last year's Stanley Cup Champions at the Trade Deadline. He has not recorded a single point in the nine games he played for the Pens this season. Over the course of the season, he has played for four teams: the Hurricanes, the Penguins, and their respective farmteams in the AHL.

Chris McSorley is, of course, not only looking at Jooris but also at other players. "We are looking closely at the market," he says to the Tribune de Genève. "In particular, we're watching the series between Kloten and Rapperswil." Moreover, he is also looking for bargains in the KHL, SHL, and NHL. "We have already compiled a 'short list' with a couple of names. I'm working on it."
