As RTS journalist Marc-André Berset reports, Swiss-Canadian forward Cody Almond does no longer figure in Genève-Servette HC's roster plans for next season.

The many injury-caused absences as well as his high salary are supposedly the main reasons GSHC's leadership is trying to get rid of him. Still according to Berset, the 28-year-old winger has apparently already drawn interest of another Swiss club, but nothing is signed yet.

Cody Almond, whose contract is valid through to the 2018-19 season, joined Genève-Servette HC six years ago from North America. This season, due to several injuries, the Swiss international only suited up in a total of 28 games, in which he managed to put up six goals and four assists.
