As Reto Berra's agent Andy Rufener tells Watson's Klaus Zaugg, Christian Dubé will not have to wait much longer: "The decision will be made in the upcoming days, before the World Championship." Because the 31-year-old netminder signed a five-year contract (three years plus option) with Gottéron one year ago, it is either North America or Fribourg for Berra.

Asked by Zaugg if Dubé will have a couple of sleepless nights ahead of him, Rufener says: "No, I think he can sleep well." A hint that Berra will return to Switzerland after five years in North America? The Swiss international left EHC Biel in 2013 and joined the Calgary Flames. Since then, he has played for Calgary, Colorado, Florida, and Anaheim
