The 39-year-old Norwegian has signed a two-year contract with EVZ: "Dan Tagnes has convinced us during the negotiations," CEO Patrick Lengwiler says. His winning quality was his ability of working with younger players: "He has worked with young athletes and developed them in the past and wants to do so in the future," Lengwiler explains. "Together we will develop the best training institution in Switzerland and play successful ice hockey." The full coaching staff will be put together in the upcoming weeks by EVZ and their new head coach.
Dan Tangnes has worked in Sweden for the past ten years, for Rögle BK and Linköping HC. Dan Tangnes had a valid contract in place with Linköping HC for the next two seasons, but then - to the Swedish media's and the fans' surprise - he decided to bid farewell to the SHL team on April 4.
