Meanwhile, Lausanne HC has officialized the arrival of Ķēniņš, too. The Latvian winger, who is in possession of a Swiss players' license, will move to the shores of Lac Léman on a three-year deal until 2021.
The rumors surrounding his departure already started up in late-October. The Tages-Anzeiger and 24 heures both had sources linking the 27-year-old to Lausanne. It is now clear that he will indeed leave the Lions this summer.
Ķēniņš played a total of five seasons for the ZSC Lions (2011-2014, 2016-2018) and won three titles with them. This season, he recorded six goals and 14 assists in 58 games for them.
