It was not yet clear whether Berra would join Fribourg or stay in North America, but now he has made a decision. After five seasons, the 31-year-old netminder will be back in the National League next season, stopping pucks for the Dragons. He brings the experience of 76 NHL- and 93 AHL-games, playing for the organizations of the Calgary Flames, the Colorado Avalanche, the Florida Panthers and the Anaheim Ducks.

Andrew Miller is a 29-year-old American forward who spent the last five seasons predominantly in the AHL, most recently with the Charlotte Checkers (affiliate of the Carolina Hurricanes). In 301 AHL-games, Miller recorded 86 goals and 159 assists. However, he also played 15 NHL-games (one goal, five assists) for the Edmonton Oilers.

As for Marco Forrer, the defenseman joins the Dragons from HC Davos, where he spent the last two years. His arrival was already announced by Davos a few days ago. The 21-year-old has suited up in 63 National League-games and 36 times in the Swiss League (HC Thurgau, EHC Visp) so far, recording one goal and five assists.

Last but not least, Fribourg also announced the signing of Sandro Schmid. The 17-year-old forward left Gottéron's junior department in 2016 to play for the Malmö Redhawks' organization. He agreed to a three-year deal, but will still play in Sweden next season.
