Despite offers from other teams, as reported by 24 heures earlier today, Douay has decided to stay with the Grenats. "The project led by the Fondation 1890 and the management completely convinced me. I'm very happy to have extended for two more years with Geneva. I love the city and the fans," he writes in a statement.

The 23-year-old French international forward, who is a product of Genève-Servette HC's youth organisation, made his debut in Switzerland's highest league in the 2013-14 season. Ever since, Douay has suited up in 139 games for the Grenats, recording 17 points (nine goals, eight assists).
