Originally, Jecker was supposed to leave EHC Biel in direction of Kloten, where he had signed a two-year contract in December. With EHC Kloten's relegation, however, he was free to find another club. He has decided on HC Lugano. The 23-year-old will be part of the Bianconeri's squad for the next two seasons, until 2020.

This past season, Jecker suited up in a total of 62 games for EHC Biel, in which he recorded three goals and 13 assists for 15 points.
