Speculations about a premature departure of Linus Klasen are over. "He will remain with us," HC Lugano's team manager Roland Habisreutinger says.

"I met with him, Linus will stay with us," Habisreutinger says to Teleticino's Fuorigioco. "He has a great desire to return to Lugano and prove his value," Lugano's team manager adds. Speculations about an early termination of Klasen's contract, which is still valid until 2020, should thus be over.

The speculations were started by president Vicky Mantegazza's appearance on Fuorigioco on April 22, when she also tackled the issue of Linus Klasen and said that contract could be dissolved.

The 32-year-old Swede has been with HC Lugano since 2014. This past season, he suited up in 46 games, only three of which were in the playoffs. Over the course of the season, he scored twelve goals and added 26 assists for 38 points.
