Klaus Zaugg already wrote at the beginning of May that Ehlers wanted Franzén to be his new assistant coach for the upcoming season. They had already worked together in Lausanne for two seasons and thus know each other well.
The 50-year-old Swede worked for Lausanne HC for the past three seasons. Prior to that, he worked for AIK IF in various capacities.
