It was HCD-president Gaudenz Domenig who told the Tages-Anzeiger in reaction to the report from the CdT that nothing was signed yet but there was interest in the player. Today, however, the club officially confirmed the signing of Pestoni, who will move to the Landwassertal on a one-year deal.
The 26-year-old left winger would have had a ongoing contract in place with the ZSC Lions through to April next year. The reigning Swiss Champions, however, recently disclosed that they would no longer count on him and that he is in principle free to find himself a new team, or to play with the GCK Lions.
This past season, Inti Pestoni suited up in a total of 51 games for the Lions, in which he managed to put up six goals and 17 assists.
