Putting the 24-year-old on the market, although his contract is still valid for another season, might be a direct consequence of signing Damien Brunner from HC Lugano, Beaud writes on Twitter.
Julian Schmutz has been a part of EHC Biel's organisation since joining them from EHC Visp in 2016. Over the course of the past season, the young forward appeared in 62 games in red and yellow, in which he scored seven goals and added 13 assists for a total of 20 points.
