Yesterday, 24 heures already reported that Genève-Servette HC is trying to find a new employer for the 28-year-old forward. As Almond himself confirmed to the newspaper, this is apparently for "financial reasons". Lausanne HC might be interested in signing Almond, because they might, in fact, already have signed him as of the 2019 season.

According to RTS-journalist Marc-André Berset, the Swiss-Canadian has already signed with LHC back in February - a three-year contract, starting in 2019. Almond will reportedly earn CHF 520'000.- per year, the same source writes. It is possible that the forward will move to Lausanne one year in advance, on conditions that will yet have to be determined.
