While there is no update regarding the netminder's future, Chatelain tells Der Bund that SC Bern will know before the start of the new season - at the latest - if Genoni will stay or leave. His undecided future is the reason why they only signed their new goaltending coach, Aki Näykki, for one season.
The goaltender was mentioned in connection with the ZSC Lions back in December, but both Genoni's agent and the Lions' team manager Sven Leuenberger said that it was yet too early to talk about the next season. It remains to be seen whether Genoni will return to Bern.
