There are a few possibilities for the goalie, four of those are mentioned in Zaugg's article, namely staying with the Bears or leaving for EV Zug, HC Lugano or the ZSC Lions. "I'm expecting a decision until the end of July or the first few days of August", Genoni's agent, Erich Wüthrich, is quoted. He adds that the 30-year-old intends to get it settled before the preparation for the new season becomes more intense. It remains to be seen where Genoni is going to end up next summer.

The netminder joined Bern two years ago from HC Davos and has appeared in 123 National League-games for the Bears since then. He won his fourth Swiss Championship-title in 2017 and backstopped the Swiss national team to a silver medal at the 2018 World Championships.
