After extending his own contract until 2023, Christian Dubé says in an interview, which was published in Le Matin and 20 Minutes, that he is planning to take up talks with head coach Mark French about a possible contract extension: "Yes, that is indeed the next construction site that is opening in front of me," Dubé confirms. "Mark and I will probably start talking in the next few weeks."

The 47-year-old French, a native of Milton, Ontario, joined HC Fribourg-Gottéron in summer 2017 on a two-year contract, which is running out after this season. In his first season, he clinched the fifth place with the Dragons in the regular season, but was eliminated in the playoff quarterfinals by runner-up HC Lugano.
