Team manager Christian Dubé had been open about the fact that they would like to sign their coach to an extension before the start of the 2018-19 season. He told La Liberté two weeks ago that they had offered him a two-year deal.

The 47-year-old Canadian joined the Dragons in summer 2017. His two-year contract with the National League team will expire at the end of this season.

As for assistant coach Dean Fedorchuk, they are in negotiations with him. HC Fribourg-Gottéron has also signed an agreement with HC Ajoie. The collaboration between the two clubs is expected to be developed step by step, but will not be exclusive.
