Whereas American forward Tommy Wingles sustained a broken jaw in the season opener against Biel and will be out for at least another three weeks, Canadian forward Lance Bouma suffered a knee injury in Tuesday's game in Lausanne. An injury, whose severity has yet to be determined.

One thing that is certain, according to the Tribune de Genève, Bouma will not hit the ice in Friday's clash with the ZSC Lions. As a consequence, the Grenats will have to play with only two imports against the reigning Swiss Champion - Swedish defensemen Henrik Tömmernes and Johan Fransson.

That is also why the Grenats' coach and team manager Chris McSorley is currently quite busy screening the market for an additional import: "More than ever, we're looking for a foreign player. And it's not such a bad time to recruit. With the end of the preseason camps [NHL], there are some really good players on the market."

Still according to the TdG, Genève-Servette HC is expected to announce the signing of an additional foreigner Friday this week.
