On Monday, it was reported that Jack Skille is joining Genève-Servette HC as injury replacement for Lance Bouma. According to Marc-André Berset (RTS) and his North American sources, there is a second import player on his way to the Eagles, namely Canadian forward Daniel Winnik.
Winnik spent the last month on a PTO with the Boston Bruins but has been released from the NHL-team on Monday afternoon. Over the course of the last decade, the 33-year-old suited up 861 times for various teams in the NHL, recording 82 goals and 173 assists.
There were rumors about GSHC's interest in Antoine Vermette, but as Berset writes, the 36-year-old will not come to Europe due to family reasons.
