Emmerton joins Lausanne after having his contract with HC Sibir Novosibirsk (KHL) dissolved at the beginning of the month. The Lions have added the 30-year-old as reinforcement after losing Dustin Jeffrey to injury for three to fourth months. Emmerton joins the team until the end of the season.

During his time with HC Ambrì-Piotta, the forward suited up in 167 National League games, recording 51 goals and 72 assists. Before coming to Switzerland, he was part of the Detroit Red Wings-organization. He has 157 NHL-games under his belt.
