SC Bern's team manager Alex Chatelain took advantage of the international break to observe players engaged in the Karjala Cup and to discuss contract renewals with a few of SC Bern's players, including Yanik Burren, Calle Andersson, and Andrew Ebbett. According to "Der Bund", one or two extensions are expected to be announced this week.
Burren, 21, recorded four points (three goals) in 16 games this season. Swedish defenceman Andersson also played in 16 games so far, scoring three goals and putting up 5 assists. Canadian forward Ebbet is in his fourth season with the Bears and this season he is averaging more than one point per game, having recorded 17 points in 16 games.
