Marc Abplanalp is currently in his twelfth consecutive season with the Dragons, which will not be his last. The 34-year-old decided to add at least another season. Before, Abplanalp was seen as a possible candidate to replace fitness coach Bruno Knutti, who leaves the club at the end of the season.

The 22-year-old Forrer, on the other hand, joined Gottéron this season from HC Davos. A bit more than two months into the season, HC Fribourg-Gottéron has decided to activate the option in Forrer's contract to keep him for another year, which was set to expire after this week.
