In an interview with the Südostschweiz, HC Davos' president Gaudenz Domenig said, that they've received a "bunch of applications" from agents and coaches from Switzerland and abroad. "Many of them, we put aside immediately," he says. "Others seem interesting at the first glance."
Until HCD have found their new bench boss, they are looking at a short term internal solution: "Typically, the coach of the elite juniors is the focus in this situation," Domenig says to the same source, which means: Michel Riesen.
A new internal solution could be in place as soon as tomorrow, when HC Davos faces Genève-Servette HC. "It's unlikely that Remo Gross and Sandro Rizzi will coach the team again tomorrow," Domenig explains. "What I can tell you is: The man who leads the training on Thursday will also coach the team on Friday."
