After Roger Karrer, Genève-Servette HC has taken on a second player of the ZSC Lions. Marco Miranda will follow his teammate westwards next summer. He has signed a contract until 2022 which includes an option for an additional season.
For the youngster, it will be the first time not playing in Zurich's organization, as he went through his junior years with either EHC Dübendorf, the ZSC or the GCK Lions. in 2015, he made his debut in the NLB, two years later he also played in the highest league for the first time. The 20-year-old was part of the championship-winning team last spring.
The Grenats' team manager Chris McSorley is happy with the signing. "Marco has excelled in every category since he started playing hockey. Especially in the last year with the ZSC Lions. A good skater, he is one of the best young prospects in the Swiss Championship. We are counting on Marco becoming one of the pillars of the club in the following years", the Canadian comments on Miranda.
