As Martin Steinegger tells the Journal du Jura, they will not sign a new import player before January or "even a bit later" than that.

The team manager prefers to wait and see what the team is more in need of, a defender or a forward. Steinegger is currently looking to loan a player because of their injury situation. Marc-Antoine Pouliot, Kevin Fey and Mauro Dufner are back in practice, but they are still not ready to return to the lineup. Pouliot will likely make his comeback after the international break.

While Genève-Servette HC's Will Petschenig was offered to Biel on  a loan basis, the team manager had not been willing to add him to Biel's roster, as they would have to have taken on his contract for the rest of the season.

As for signings regarding the 2019-20 season, Steinegger also made clear that Enzo Corvi or Vincent Praplan, whom he thinks should stay in North America for another year, are "out of their means". The future of Mathieu Tschantré is also not yet clear, but Steinegger has given him time until Christmas to decide what he wants to do. If he should decide to play another year, they would start contract negotiations.
