The strategy seems clear: invest less in Swiss players and more on the market of foreign players.

Christian Dubé is HC Fribourg-Gottéron's team manager since 2015.

In an interview with La Liberté (relayed by SwissHabs), Christian Dubé, team manager of HC Fribourg-Gottéron, declares that the club does not have the financial possibilities to afford players like Inti Pestoni. Instead, they are focusing on less expensive players, e.g. Lausanne HC's Matteo Nodari and Dario Trutmann as well as SC Bern's Jérémie Kamerzin. Moreover, Sebastian Schilt should get an offer for an extension.

On the other hand, as the Freiburger Nachrichten reports (relayed by SwissHabs), Dubé is ready to invest in a strong set of foreign players. This means that Jonas Holøs, Jim Slater, and Jacob Micflikier are not expected to remain in Fribourg, while Andrew Miller and Charles Bertrand (ready for his debut tonight) are more likely to stay.
