There had been quite some chatter regarding Leonardo Genoni's successor in the last couple of weeks. Apart from Schlegel, names like Luca Boltshauser and Lars Johansson were thrown around in regards to SC Bern's new number 1 goalie.

Schlegel will thus leave the ZSC Lions' organization as of next season. He has only ever played for them throughout his career. This season, he has appeared in 13 games for the Lions, posting a .915 save percentage.

Pascal Caminada will remain with the Bears for another season. While the 34-year-old goaltender has only appeared in four games for SCB this season, he convinced the staff with his good performance. He will stay with them until the end of the 2019-20 season.
