Romanenghi has signed a two-year renewal of his deal with HC Lugano. As the club mentions in their press release, they still see room for development for the forward and have decided to keep counting on his qualities.

The 23-year-old joined Lugano's youth department in 2010 and made his debut during the 2013-14 season. Apart from two stints with EHC Olten and Lugano's partner team, the HCB Ticino Rockets, the forward has been a part of Lugano's main roster since 2015 and has made 175 appearances for the Bianconeri. He has recorded four goals and eleven assists so far.
