One of the most courted free agents of next summer, Marc-Antoine Pouliot, is about to extend his contract with EHC Biel. The NZZ reports that the Canadian's agent has told one of the teams interested in him, Genève-Servette, that the forward will stay in Biel.

Pouliot initially joined Biel in 2012, but left one year later to play for HC Fribourg-Gottéron. The 33-year-old returned to the Seeland throughout the 2016-17 season. In total, he has suited up 313 times in the National League, recording 86 goals and 182 assists. Earlier in his career, Pouliot appeared in 200 NHL-games with various teams.
