National League

While Tobias Stephan will move to Lausanne at season's end, his current backup in Zug, Sandro Aeschlimann, is set to join HC Davos.

Sandro Aeschlimann to be part of HCD's roster as of 2019-20

According to a report from Zentralplus, the 24-year-old goaltender recently informed the club's leadership about his departure to the Landwassertal. Aeschlimann might be replaced by their own youngster Luca Hollenstein (EVZ Academy), who just led the Swiss U20-national team to the semifinals at the 2019 World Junior Championship in Vancouver, Canada.

Sandro Aeschlimann joined the EV Zug organization from North America's Elmira College (NCAA III) in 2016 and has appeared in a total of 49 games with the EVZ Academy and nine games with EV Zug ever since. In six National League games this season so far, Aeschlimann has posted a save percentage of .933 and a goals against average of 2.12.
