Only one week after Genève-Servette HC extended the contract of defenseman Jonathan Mercier, they have also agreed to terms with Henrik Tömmernes. The 28-year-old will thus stay in Geneva at least until 2021. "Henrik is a key player and a world class defensman," head coach Chris McSorley says about the signing.

Tömmernes is the first of GSHC's import-players who has extended his contract beyond the current season. All imports have expiring contracts. Lance Bouma and Tommy Wingels are in possession of an option for the next season.

Henrik Tömmernes moved from Frölunda to Geneva in 2017. Since then, he has appeared in 70 games for the Grenats, in which he recorded nine goals and 36 assists.
